Najib Soiman or bijaN

Muhammad Najib Bin Soiman or better known as bijaN is currently an arts educator and freelance theatre practitioner.

His first foray into the Arts in 1993 was in Dikir Barat with the group Kelana Purba. Since 2003, he has freelanced for a myriad of theatrical performances mainly as a Performer, Scriptwriter and Director. He has done more than 50 productions in the arts and music industry, locally and overseas.

A talented and creative person who’s soul is in the Malay Arts industry, brought victory to numerous schools of all levels in the various forms of national competitions. His contributions varies from kids to adults, teenagers to elderlies.

Every invitation that comes, is a golden opportunity that was accepted with open arms by him. Every challenge, every battle gave new meanings and allows him to expand his creativity further.

A magazine cum talkshow ala television programme by theatre practitioners staged in a theatre black box setting.

4 episodes of 45 minutes each, with topics and segments covering different current issues involving Malay theatre.

Viewers will experience watching a talkshow recording as how they would experience when watching a live television talkshow. They will be exposed to happenings in the Malay theatre scene via short skits, interviews and telephone calls from viewers from “home”.

The programme will also be a teaser for the main youth programme stageplay, “Campur Satu – Kisah Isi Dengan Rusuk” on the 28th and 29th of December.
